Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the Promptron application. By installing or using the App, you accept these Terms. Nothing here excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory law.

What Promptron Is

Promptron helps you shape an intent into a structured request aligned to a target AI product line's capabilities, and surfaces evaluation signals. We make no claim that the App produces "better prompts." We offer convenience, capability fit, local organization, packaged encyclopedia retrieval, and evaluation workflow.

AI Providers, Consent, and Charges

In the App Store build, live generation uses Bring Your Own Key (BYOK). You may provide an Anthropic or OpenAI API key. A separately distributed local macOS build may also use an installed, signed-in Claude or Codex CLI subscription. Promptron asks the current local account separately before its first contact with either provider, and again after revocation or a material disclosure change; permissions are not shared across local accounts. A fallback provider is eligible only if it is configured and you have allowed it.

Requests go directly from your device to the selected provider. Promptron has no model-request proxy and does not receive your key, prompt, attachments, or model response. Your credential is used only with its matching provider. Provider processing, retention, account limits, and charges are governed by that provider's terms, privacy policy, and your account settings. API and subscription usage charges are separate from any Promptron purchase, and you are responsible for them.

Accounts

Builds offer a local email profile, Google OAuth only when explicitly configured, and a limited Guest mode. Promptron 2.0.6 does not offer Sign in with Apple. The email profile is not a cloud account; its password is stored locally as a salted hash, not plaintext. Google authentication is governed by Google's terms, and returned profile details are stored locally. Guest mode provides a device-level limited trial and cannot be reset merely by signing out. To use an online AI provider, you must satisfy that provider's minimum-age and account requirements.

Subscriptions and Billing

Promptron offers Free and Pro tiers. Pro unlocks app features such as additional forms, full encyclopedia retrieval, multi-project workspaces, live evaluation, and export. The subscription unlocks App features only; it does not include or resell Anthropic or OpenAI usage. App Store billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are administered by Apple under Apple's terms. Mandatory consumer refund rights are unaffected.

Acceptable Use

You must not use the App to break any law, infringe third-party rights, generate unlawful or harmful content, circumvent limits or feature gates, or misuse the App to build a competing product by unlawful means. You are responsible for prompts and outputs you use.

Your Content and IP

Promptron retains rights in the App's software, branding, interface, and encyclopedia compilation. You retain rights in your prompts, projects, conversations, and generated content. Because the App stores your workspace locally and has no Promptron model backend, Promptron claims no ownership of and needs no licence to your content for Promptron model training or hosted processing. Rights in AI output are governed by the provider's terms and applicable law.

AI Output and Evaluation

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable and is not professional advice. Evaluation scores are internal heuristics and model-assisted signals, not guarantees of quality, correctness, legality, or fitness for purpose.

Disclaimers and Consumer Guarantees

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available." If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, Promptron's services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. For a major failure you may be entitled to a remedy and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. Outside mandatory guarantees, implied warranties are excluded.

Third Parties and Web References

To the extent permitted by law, Promptron is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss arising from Anthropic, OpenAI, Apple, Google, referenced websites, other third-party services, provider-account usage, or reliance on output. Pasting a web link and starting an action authorizes the App to fetch that page directly; the site may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and user agent. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Termination, Changes, and Contact

Promptron may suspend access for breach or legal or security reasons. You may stop using the App at any time. In-App controls can remove provider keys and the current local account's workspace, model cache, saved evaluation data, and avatar; other local Promptron accounts are preserved. Deleting local data does not delete your provider accounts or data already received by a provider. Uninstall behaviour, device/cloud backups, and Keychain persistence are controlled by the operating system; a restored backup may require you to enter provider credentials again. Promptron may update these Terms with in-App notice for material changes.
